There’s been a lot happening this week — we had our Annual General Meeting, three new people joined our Executive Committee, and my puppy ate about half his body-weight in dirt from our outdoor plants. Mark, Vanessa, and Wei — welcome! We’re so happy to have you!
Dee from Docklands Health is once again running her famous Pilates classes on Mondays at 7pm and Saturdays at 9:45am, so if you’re feeling a little iffy from going too hard with celebrating eased restrictions, a bit of exercise can’t hurt! Call 03 9088 3228 to book, or book online.
Speaking of stretching muscles, Kayak Melbourne is back on the water and offering small tours. These are great for anyone wanting to switch up their usual brunch/coffee-type meet-up with friends and instead experience stunning Yarra views while learning a little more about Melbourne’s history. Kayaking is a great activity to pair with our recent bouts of warm weather, so you should book ASAP!
Our glorious Melbourne Star is also reopening on Wednesday the 18th of November! While it’s been great to still see the Star lit up and (slowly) moving, it’ll be even better to witness a 360-degree view of the sun setting over a newly-busy Melbourne. If you pre-book your experience online now, you might also be able to get a cheeky discount — even more reason to bring your family, or a small group of friends.
Merchant Society has limited indoor seating to be enjoyed by the lovely Docklands community! Pop in and enjoy a Beef Rendang, a refreshing cocktail, and a chat with the ever-delightful Charlie. Now is the time to be supporting Docklands’ incredible cafes and restaurants, and it’s truly a win-win situation, so make sure to book a table when you have a chance.
Finally, it’s so exciting to see that Quest New Quay has won a World Travel Award for Oceania’s Leading Serviced Apartments 2020! We couldn’t be prouder of the excellent team at Quest New Quay, and hope they enjoy their celebrations. If you want to know what all the fuss is about, it could be a good time to book a little staycation and put their service to the test!
In social news, this week we shared posts from Victoria Harbour Pharmacy, The Espressionist, and TAP831! We especially loved this photo of the gorgeous Docklands sunset from @ipoyksy. Don’t forget to tag @docklandsmelb and use the hashtags #docklandsmelb and #docklandsiloveyou in your posts!
