Long Business Description: Looking to get your bike serviced while also assisting the local community? Good Cycles is here for you. Founded in 2013, Good Cycles is a social enterprise which looks to provide pathways to employment for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. Offered at Good Cycles is the Pedal Empowerment Program, a vocational training course that teaches mechanical and employability skills to participants to help them in driving their future careers. After completing this course, participants may also be invited to work at Good Cycles for several months to prepare them for long-term employment in similar industries. If that isn’t inspiring enough, Good Cycles also runs a WeCycle program which recycles unwanted bikes and offers them to those who need them.
